Description
Lot #60 - This Mustang coupe is a rare example of a real "S Code" coupe that came from the factory with a 390 cubic inch big block under the hood. It has been in the ownership of the same family from the time it was new until 2005. The motor has undergone an expensive, high performance rebuild that included balancing and blueprinting, a Clay Smith roller cam, roller rockers, lightened valves with high performance springs, Edlebrock intake manifold with high-flow fuel pump, Holley "double pumper" carburetor, electronic ignition, and much more. The engine breathes through a brand new DynoMax exhaust system and is backed by a C6 heavy duty transmission driving a Curry 9" rear end. Other features and upgrades include factory optional fog lights, air conditioning, new heavy duty springs, American Torque Thrust wheels, new BF Goodrich tires, hood scoop, and the battery has been moved to the trunk. In excess of $40,000 has been spent in the restoration and rebuild. It comes complete with information, photos, and a Marti Report verifying authenticity. This high performance Mustang looks like it should be on the Trans Am race track and drives like it too.
