Lot #715 - This 1969 camaro has just completed a 2 year full frame off restoration this week. This correct numbers matching original 396/375 l-89 was ordered by yenko chevrolet in late 1968. It was then given to the legendary dick harrell for performance upgrades including headers, traction bars, racing camshaft, frame connectors and much more prior to being deliverd to hoffman chevrolet in new york where it was then sold to the new buyer, robert massimo on december 12, 1968. There were 311 1969 l-89 camaro's produced at an option cost of $868.95. This 396/375 horsepower engine was the highest rated regular production order engine available for the 1969 model year camaro. This vehicle has been through a nut and bolt restoration that has covered every inch of this car. The original numbers matching engine has been totally rebuilt from the ground up and has been dyno tested and produces 485 horsepower. It has a turbo 400 transmission that is fully rebuilt with a freshened up dick harrell custom built torque converter. The car was originally delivered with a rear end gear ratio of 4.10 and still has the same same gears to this day. This car is a one of kind, lifetime find for the right collector.
