Lot #704 - Only one known to exist with L88 dealer installed aluminum heads, one of one - rare. In 1968 Chevy only produced 124 Biscayne's 427/425 HP, out of those our investigation has discovered only 3 are still in existence today. One of the three is in the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles, CA. Out of the three this car being sold is the only one with documented dealer installed L88 aluminum heads, making this survivor one of one and without a doubt the planets best original restored muscle car. This car was originally owned by one owner most of it's life, Dale Sanders/Florence Layfield of Ohio. Dale was killed in action defending his country in the Vietnam War and his mother Florence sold the car after many years to the 2nd owner Phillip Roberts of Ohio. Phillip sold it to the 3rd and final owner Bill McCall of Ohio, who restored the car over a 5-year period. Built in the Chevy plant in Lordstown, Ohio. Numbers matching, only 49,000 doc'd original miles. The interior is all original except the carpet. The engine had warranty work and at that time the owner, Dale Sanders, had the L88 heads installed by the original dealership. Parts are original to this car and serial numbered to this car. This car was stored for over 25 years and was completely rust free. Completely disassembled, every part powder coated and reassembled. Documented with original protector plate, original build sheet/broadcast sheet, original dealer receipt for the aluminum heads, and photos from the 60's.
