Description
Lot #715 - This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was restored and upgraded by Tim Ford of Undercover Restorations in Merritt Island, FL. The build was finished in late 2021 and has less than 1,600 miles since completion. The foundation is a powder-coated Street Shop chassis equipped with C7 suspension, QA1 coilovers and front and rear sway bars. Power comes from an LS3 crate engine with 435hp mated to a 6L80E 6-speed automatic transmission. Additional horsepower gains are achieved using stainless-steel headers with side-pipe exhaust. The power is put to the ground by way of Street Shop's independent rear suspension equipped with its HammerHead 12-bolt posi-traction differential fitted with 3.55 gears. The body was taken down to bare fiberglass and professionally worked, with the exterior finished in Nassau Blue two-stage base/clear coat with a dark blue Stayfast canvas convertible top. This custom Corvette has Flaming River power rack & pinion steering and comes to a stop with Hydro-Boost power-assisted Corvette brakes clamping on drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. The custom C5 leather interior features power seats, Vintage Air, a Bluetooth-capable marine AM/FM radio with custom speakers, Dakota Digital gauges, push-button start and power windows. Other features include a gray tinted windshield, emergency E-brake, Tanks Inc fuel tank, stainless brake and fuel lines, aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, new Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and custom wiring harness, and LED lighting inside and out. This Corvette rides on 19-inch American Racing wheels wrapped in Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires.
