Description
Lot #1442.1 - This custom 1973 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne pickup, RS Serial Number 001, is the first production vehicle in the Roadster Shop's Legend Series. Thousands of hours of CAD engineering have gone into the development. Thousands of test miles on the pre-production test truck have refined and proven the concept. The result is the Roadster Shop Legend Series that has taken the quintessential classic truck and modernized its functionality, building the ultimate daily driver. Riding on a Roadster Shop IFS 4x4 chassis, it utilizes GM's latest suspension components and geometry, providing modern truck performance and functionality. The drivetrain is an LT4 supercharged 650hp Chevrolet Performance crate engine with an 8L90 8-speed transmission and heavy-duty transfer case. RS-integrated components allow shift-on-the-fly 4-wheel drive. It also features factory manifolds with catalytic convertors and a stainless-steel Borla exhaust system. Modern OEM GM cooling components are all integrated into CAD-engineered core support. Fox 2.0 Performance coilovers and long travel Deaver's leaf springs provide comfort and off-road capabilities, while 4-wheel power disc brakes and power rack & pinion steering provide OEM driving feel. Other features include a Class 4 hitch, a helper bag system with an onboard compressor and a factory spare tire. Modern GM mechanical systems are used throughout the truck, providing longevity and easy service at any GM dealer. Custom 17-inch powder-coated billet wheels and original hubcaps with 35-inch Toyo all-terrain tires complete the vintage look with modern performance. The truck is an incredibly well-preserved time capsule that retains its original factory paint from 1973. Its priceless 50-year-old exterior shows light patina/weathering that adds character. The majority of the original interior was retained, but is completely updated from a mechanical standpoint. The dash utilizes Dakota Digital RTX gauges, GM 4x4 selector knob, a Vintage Air system, a Kicker KMC5 head unit with Morel, and JL audio components. Every electrical system and mechanical component have been updated with quality proven components.
