Description
Lot #385.1 - This custom 1969 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup is rather a "rare bird": There are many C10s out there, but restored GMCs are not often seen. The truck has undergone a resent restoration with a beautiful medium blue exterior and a new interior with a re-covered original seat. It's powered by a strong-running 400ci small-block engine mated to a 4-speed Muncie transmission with a Hurst shifter. The engine was rebuilt with roller rocker aluminum Corvette heads and mild cam that gives it that pleasing rumble. This original fleetside short-bed truck has a stock appearance, except for a custom steel cowl hood and a rear roll pan, which give it a sleek, clean look. The engine is cooled with a thermostatically controlled electric fan. The drivetrain was upgraded with a one-piece driveshaft and posi-traction differential. It has a new dual exhaust system with new 2.5-inch manifolds with Flowmaster mufflers. A new under-bed fuel cell has been installed with a flush-mounted filler tube in the bed. This pickup rides on white-letter tires mounted on 15x8 truck Rally wheels.
