Description
Lot #1089.1 - This custom 1950 Chevrolet 3100 5-window pickup has undergone a complete comprehensive frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration, with only a few test miles on the build. Finished in House of Kolor Candy Red, it is powered by a Holley Sniper fuel-injected big-block 396ci engine. Running on the front of the engine is a Billet Specialties serpentine system, and the engine is backed by a crate automatic transmission with a frame-mounted transmission cooler. It features custom exhaust headers at the engine, and running towards the back of the truck is an X-piped exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The engine is cooled with a large aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The full custom chassis, built by the SoCal Speed Shop, is fully boxed, the rear end is a Ford 9-inch with posi-traction, and the truck rides on QA1 coilovers in the front and rear. It has power multi-piston Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes with cross-drilled and vented rotors. The truck turns easily and it rolls on custom billet U.S. Mags wheels that measure 20-inches in the rear and 18-inches in the front, wrapped in Nitto tires. Body modifications to this pickup include a custom radiator support and cover, widened rear fenders to fit the 12-inch-wide tires, flush-mounted fuel cap, a custom-built firewall, custom-fitted rear roll pan and custom billet hood hinges. The custom-fitted wood bed is finished in a satin clear coat. The glass is all smoked with power front windows and a single-piece windshield. The interior is fully wrapped in soft tan upholstery, with a fully custom bolstered bench seat and a seat frame that has been modified for underneath storage. It also features modern gauges, a tilt column, Lokar floor shifter and Trique latches that make the doors close smoothly.
