Description
Lot #528.1 - The build of this car began with a previously restored rust-free car that was stripped of all of its interior and wiring harnesses from the dash forward, as well as its drivetrain. The original 396ci engine was bored 30 over and given a mild cam and performance manifold topped with FiTech fuel injection and HEI distributor. Shorty headers and full new exhaust were installed, as well as Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. The interior was redone in new stock form with the exception of the dash, which is also new and factory SS Chevelle-style, which has sweep-style gauges. A vintage-looking radio was installed with a full Bluetooth sound system that includes kick panel and decklid speakers, as well as amps and three 10-inch subs in the trunk in a custom cabinet. Suspension consists of 2-inch drop spindles in the front with tube-style A-arms, new stock-length springs and 1-inch under new springs in the rear with new shocks. The paint is called Charon Gray, with a gloss black section added down the center of the hood, and all other black accents on the exterior are gloss black powder-coat. All of the badging, moldings, trim pieces and the roof vinyl was removed. The marker lights front and rear were also removed and plated before it went off to paint.
