Description
Lot #324 - This is an original 1976 F-350 XLT Ranger Super Camper Special with a 140-inch wheelbase and a set-back rear axle, built to hold up to 10,000 pounds of GVW. It is powered by a 460ci V8 engine with a 4-barrel carburetor backed by a C6 automatic transmission and 4.10 Dana 70 conventional rear axle. This pickup features power steering, power brakes and the original factory camper stainless-steel mirrors. It rides on 9.50x16.5 front tires with factory 8x16.5 steel wheels, and 12x33 rear tires with factory 10x16.5 steel wheels. This pickup is equipped with its original factory sliding rear bumper, as the Super Camper Specials' massive rear bumpers were on a sliding system so they could be adjusted for various camper lengths. It has the original factory chrome front bumper, original combination two-tone paint of Midnight Blue Metallic with Bali Blue trim, the original interior with a new headliner, original glass and an original factory rear sliding window. Its spare tire compartment is behind a removable panel on the side of the bed, which was necessary due to the longer wheelbase causing Ford to lose room behind the rear axle that normally accommodated the F-series spares.
