Description
Lot #396 - This 1966 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova custom station wagon is finished in Onyx Black with a switchblade silver roof and a custom blue bucket-seat interior. It is powered by a period-correct 327ci engine built to resemble the legendary Nova L79 327ci engine. The transmission is a Muncie M20 4-speed manual hooked to a Hurst competition-plus shifter. The car was upgraded with Chevrolet power disc brakes up front. It has the original power steering, a period Chevrolet two-spoke steering wheel and a custom-built exhaust. It received new weatherstripping, windshield chrome and brightwork, including rocker and wheel well moldings. The factory-style front bucket seat, rear seat and dash pad, and sail panels were custom upholstered in blue vinyl with a Silver stitch. New carpet and headliner and door panels were also installed. The car sits on a set of Boyd Coddington 5-spoke wheels with Kumho low-profile tires.
