Description
Lot #349 - This 1927 Ford Model T pickup has been restored with all areas either refurbished or rebuilt. Power comes from an L-head 176.7ci 4-cylinder engine. This engine retains its Holley carburetor but features an aftermarket aluminum high-compression cylinder head, along with electronic ignition and an alternator in place of the original generator. The transmission has been supplemented by an aftermarket rebuilt KC Warford 3-speed underdrive gearbox. There is also a new radiator, and the cooling fan has a modern steel bearing. A completely new stainless steel exhaust system was fabricated and installed as part of the restoration. This Model T is also equipped with an electric starter. All new parts were used in the restoration of the chassis, including new front and rear leaf springs and new brakes. The Royal Maroon and black two-tone paint scheme on this Model T dates to 2010. The interior bench seat, door panels and kick plates are covered in black leather and are complemented by the passenger compartment varnished wood floor. Instrumentation is limited to an Ampere gauge, the starter lock, switch and a floodlight on the painted steel dashboard. The cargo bed has a new floor that was fabricated from the same wood used for the interior floorboard. Rides on new split rims and NOS wooden spokes wrapped with Firestone tires. From the George Shinn Collection.
