Description
Lot #740.1 - This 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 convertible has undergone a frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration and is one of 1,171 produced in the model year. It's powered by a matching-numbers 455ci 8-cylinder engine with GA heads (the same used in the W-30 cars) backed by its matching-numbers Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The engine was balanced, resealed and put back to factory specifications and has correct-date-coded WZ exhaust manifolds. The car was built the first week of October 1971 and the exhaust manifolds (Nos. 251 and 252) were built one week before the block. This car was removed from a garage in California in 2016, where it had been kept since 1986, and has the original pink slip and tag from 1986, both of which are included. It has all-original sheet metal with zero rust anywhere. The matching-numbers 442 retains the Paris number and date code, and the original side glass. The car is finished in black paint with Graphite stripes and features air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, AM/FM radio with Bluetooth, front and rear speakers, Ram Air setup and Firestone wide oval tires.
