Description
Lot #1252 - This recently finished Best of Breed FFR GTM was originally assembled by VRaptor SpeedWorks. Powered by an all-aluminum LS6 based engine that is now at an increased displacement of 383ci 6.3-liter with a custom oiling system. AFR Heads and a custom intake with LS3 injectors and a 90mm throttle body complete the setup. Complemented by a handmade cold-air intake. Headers and the exhaust produced in stainless by Cooks. Running an LS1 GM standard 411 computer for reliability with a custom-modified Painless engine harness to fit a mid-engine configuration. Transaxle is from Porsche 911 G50/52 5-speed geared to work with a V8 by G-Box in Boulder, CO. The GTM chassis was completed utilizing Corvette brakes and suspension component design. The front-end lift system is hydraulically adjustable for ride height to clear obstacles and steep driveways. Inside is a custom leather-wrapped dash fitted with AutoMeter Sport-Comp gauges, a well-appointed center console with a full Bluetooth stereo and climate control, along with switches for the front ride height. This GTM is fitted with carbon-fiber bucket seats, with the GTM logo custom-stitched in the headrests. In a world of computer-controlled vehicles, the GTM is a direct mechanical interface with the road. The GTM uses an ultra-strong space frame and is joined by a matrix of aluminum subframe panels to complete a true race-car construction. Built on the strong foundation of this tough chassis is a four-corner coilover shock suspension with unequal-length control arms. The composite body rests on top of this chassis. When the editor of Car and Driver magazine, Larry Webster, commented that the car handled the monster LS power "better than the Z06 Corvette," it was due primarily to the design and strength of the GTM space frame. The Factory Five engineering team spent over five years and countless hours on the computer and at the track to make sure the frame is stronger and more rigid than one would ever need. Finished in Inferno Red paint, with a carbon-fiber front splitter and rear wing completing the aero package. Includes binders of documentation.
