Description
Lot #827 - This modified track-prepared, street-driven, lightweight Z06 Corvette is not for the faint of heart. This Z06 weighs 2,798 pounds with a Katech LS7 7.0-liter power plant that runs on E85 paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. This normally aspirated LS7 produces 622 dyno-proven rear wheel horsepower. It has a complete carbon-fiber body, other than doors and fascia. Extensive lightweight components were used in this no-expense-spared build; the strongest, lightest parts available were sourced. Titanium, aluminum and carbon-fiber components are used in abundance. This Corvette comes with a Braille i34C carbon-fiber battery (9 pounds). This Z06 was purchased from Jim Hall at Halltech in 2017 with 21,691 miles, then sent back to Katech for more upgrades, which included a custom 4-point roll bar, Schroth harnesses, ARE Stage 3 dry-sump system with SPINTRIC, Moton Clubsport double-adjustable coilovers, polyurethane bushings, Dewitts radiator, OS Giken clutch, Tick master cylinder and LG transmission and differential coolers. ACP World Challenge wing, LG GT2 splitter with Katech brake ducts, Michelin tires, ECS spindle ducts and Carbotech pads were also installed. This car was featured in Corvette magazine (Issue 96) in April 2015 as "Up to the Challenge, Jim Hall's featherweight C6 Z06."
