Description
Lot #838 - This 1938 Packard 120 convertible is finished in pale yellow with a green convertible top and green leather interior. The Packard was treated to a custom build in the early 2010s. Under the hood lies an updated 327ci Thunderbolt inline-8 engine topped by an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and bored .30 over. Since being rebuilt the engine has been driven less than 100 miles and features a 12-volt electrical conversion. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a manual transmission, and the Packard features an upgraded braking system with power discs as well as a power steering system. The pale green wheels have been wrapped in wide whitewall radials. The exterior has been modified with a mesh grille, Packard Victoria bumpers, custom "Blue-Dot" headlight trim, driver spotlight and dual amber driving lights. There are fender skirts covering the rear wheels and the dual side-mount front tires feature rearview mirrors perched on top. The Packard 120 convertible is built on a 120-inch wheelbase and features an independent front suspension known as the "Safe-T-Flex" axle.
