Lot #1431 - Built and signed by Chip Foose, this '71 Chevelle was the first car built for the hit TV show "Overhaulin'." Featured on the episode "Parts Guy" (Season 1, Episode 1), this Chevelle is powered by a 350ci Edelbrock RPM V8 engine upgraded with Pro-Flow electronic fuel-injection and ceramic-coated Doug's Headers as well as a 3-inch ceramic-coated Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a GM TH200R 4-speed automatic transmission sending drive to a 12-bolt posi-traction rear end with 4.10 gears. The Chevelle rides on a Hotchkis suspension and features Baer brakes at all four corners as well as a set of Budnik wheels measuring 19 inches up front and 20 inches in the rear mounted on a 3-inch drop spring. Inside the Chevelle features the Super Sport interior package with Cobra racing seats and Vintage Air climate control. The exterior features shaved door handles, custom tucked-in bumpers and one of the first front bumpers with the license plate pocket filled. The car comes with custom Foose flames on the hood and trunk. Included in the sale is the Build Sheet as well as diecast replicas of the car and multiple magazines in which it was featured, including the cover of Hot Rod magazine.
