Lot #740 - The iconic 1970 Challenger R/T 440 Magnum. This stunning rotisserie restoration has all the original sheet metal, and was beautifully re-painted in Bright Red. As the VIN indicates, this car is an authentic U-Code R/T 440, built in Los Angeles, October 1969. This is a show-quality restoration completed by a true Mopar builder and enthusiast using the E-Body restoration manual as a guide on the correct nuts, bolts and factory markings. The body is super-straight with excellent gaps and the chrome shines like a mirror. The highly detailed engine compartment is extremely correct right down to the factory markings and decals, aftermarket trim tag. It houses a date-coded 440ci V8 engine, which has been completely rebuilt. The car rides on the correct 14-inch road wheels and Goodyear Polyglas F70 tires. The interior, trunk compartment and undercarriage are also very detailed and correct down to the factory markings and includes a vintage spare tire.
