Lot #646 - In 1980 Charles W. Phillips of Pompano, FL, decided to set about producing a replica of a 1934-36 Mercedes 540K, which was the follow-up to the famous S-Series cars. Neoclassic automobiles often use the chassis and powertrain for mass-produced cars combined with custom bodywork. The Phillips Berlina is no exception. It has a fiberglass body on top of a stretched Chevrolet Corvette C3 chassis; only 180 were built. The odometer reads 16,228 actual miles. **TITLED AS A 1981 CHEVROLET COUPE**
