Description
Lot #397 - This beautiful 1987 GMC Sierra 1500 custom pickup has been nicely restored and packs serious power with its Dutton Performance built 355ci V8 with intercooled Garrett Turbocharger and 700R4 Mad Dog automatic transmission. As the clean CARFAX report indicates, this vehicle has spent its life down south and has had no accidents or damage. It has been in the same family from 1993 to 2021. The family decided to restore the truck but wanted to customize it during the process. Prior to the frame-on restoration the truck was in very nice original condition, so it retains its sheet metal throughout. The body was finished in the original color combination of blue and gray, which dresses it well. The paint was recently detailed to a show-quality shine. Everything on the exterior was replaced new, including all the tinted glass, dual chrome mirrors, chrome front bumper, door handles, body side moldings, chrome rear bumper, marker lights and emblems. Some exterior custom features include HID headlights and an H&H bed cover. The truck sits on 20-inch Boss wheels that have a gray center and polished lip. The wheels are wrapped with Goodyear Eagle LS2 275/55/20 tires. The blue interior was gone through but not completely restored. It still retains some originality, such as the dash, gauges and door panels. The headliner, bench seat upholstery, carpeting, air vents and blower motor were replaced. Some interior features include AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite boost and water temp gauges, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, power locks, power windows and a factory AM/FM radio with kicker panel speakers. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with many upgrades throughout. The heart of this vehicle is a Dutton Performance built 355 V8 engine with intercooled Garrett 60-1 turbocharger. The engine was completely rebuilt with high-end parts, such as Wiseco forged pistons, Manley forged push rods, Manley valves, K-Motion valve springs, bronze valve guide, Clevite rod bearings, Bullet camshaft, Cloyes performance chain set, Performance harmonic damper, Melling oil pump, ARP rocker arm stud set, Z/28 tuned port heads, tuned port intake, high-volume 42 PSI injectors, performance fuel pump, Street Fire multi-spark ignition, custom engine air filter system and custom ECU with chip/USB port for live tuning. The engine is cooled by a heavy-duty aluminum radiator. The engine breathes through custom headers and 3-inch stainless-steel exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers. The engine is coupled to a Mad Dog 700R4 automatic transmission. This transmission is Mad Dog's level four, which can handle up to 800hp. It also has a heavy-duty transmission cooler. The heavy-duty driveshaft spins the rebuilt 10-bolt rear end with Trutrac carrier, Moser 31-spline axles and custom differential cover. The undercarriage has been refinished with textured paint and looks very clean. Everything has been restored or replaced, including the power steering system, power braking system and suspension components. It's equipped with dual gas tanks, Bell leveling kit and Bilstein shocks at all four corners. This vehicle has been recently serviced and detailed, which is all documented with an invoice that is included. From the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.
