Lot #496 - This 1992 Mustang race car is a one-off custom-built performance machine. This custom build was the result of combining an endless supply of funds with the industry's most capable master builders, and it was done right. This custom build was designed to look great and go very fast doing it. Power comes from a professionally built high-performance small-block V8 engine topped with a polished 6-71 Hampton supercharger with a 3-inch blower belt with polished pulleys. A 3-inch lower intake feeds air into the blower, as does a wet nitrous system with NOS supercharger injector plate, 10-pound nitrous bottle, dual Holley double pumper carburetors and double-barrel polished aluminum blower scoop. Other engine modifications include an MSD 6-btm boost timing master ignition control box, Mallory Unilite distributer and 8.5mm MSD super conductor sparkplug wires, as well as BBK long-tube headers and X-pipe exhaust system with electric cutouts. Keeping the powerful engine cool is a custom aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The high-performance powerplant is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with a heavy-duty clutch and an SVO rear axle with limited-slip differential. For suspension, the Mustang features BBK bolt-on sub-frame connectors and Hotchkis performance suspension with adjustable coilover front shocks, and rides on Weld Draglite wheels wrapped in 275/60R15 Nitto performance rear tires. The interior features custom Sparco buckets seats with 4-point harnesses and a MOMO racing steering wheel. The Mustang features a professionally done 6-point roll cage and rear-mounted battery, as well as an AutoMeter Ultralite tach, shift light, AutoMeter Pro Comp water temp, oil pressure and blower boost gauges, along with a pillar mounted Ultralite boost gauge, fuel gauge and voltage gauge.
