Description
Lot #771 - Known as "Brown Shuga," this 1971 Chevrolet C10 custom pickup was built by renowned builder Ryan Lieberman of Ryno Built Rod & Custom and was unveiled at SEMA 2019 in the Hifonics booth. The truck was also featured in the February 2021 issue of Classic Truck Performance magazine. This no-expense-spared custom build is powered by a BluePrint Engines 355ci small-block Chevrolet V8 engine with aluminum heads, a FiTech 3x2 EFI setup and a KWiK Performance serpentine system. The engine is paired with a 4L60E overdrive automatic transmission. The engine is cooled with a DeWitts radiator and breathes through Doug's headers feeding a JBA stainless exhaust system. A custom-built, narrowed Speedway 9-inch rear end with 3.89 gears in a TruTrac posi-traction center section puts the power to the wheels with 31-spline axles. A Porter Built drop member was added and the frame completely boxed. CPP crossmembers are tucked up high in front to get the truck sitting low. The rear end is held in place with a custom-built trailing arm setup using CPP link arms and a Panhard bar. Suspension is handled by Air Lift Performance air-ride on all four corners. The exterior is stunningly finished in PPG Root Beer paint. The custom bed floor and inner bed sides were hand-fabricated. The engine compartment is highly detailed and has a custom-built firewall and Slosh Tubz inner fender wells. The interior is a work of art sculpted with leather throughout. Features New Vintage gauges, a title steering column and a custom Hifonics stereo system with three Alpha amps located in a custom ceiling console, four 10-inch Titan subwoofers behind the seats and a set of MB Quart Z-Line component speakers set in custom fiberglass kick panels. Stopping power is courtesy of power-assisted CPP Big Brakes with 6-piston calipers all around, and the truck rides on 22-inch U.S. Mags wrapped in Toyo tires. Other modern amenities include a Vintage Air cooling system and power steering.
