The on-track partnership with Hendrick Motorsports continued and eventually evolved into the creation of a custom Camaro available for the street: the Hertz/Hendrick Motorsports Edition Camaro, of which only 24 were commissioned. This Camaro ZL1 - the most powerful version ever offered - is truly special, being production #001 and having only 444 miles. Starting with the heart of the vehicle, the stock supercharger has been upgraded to a Callaway GenThree Supercharger and Callaway TrippleCooled Intercooler System, providing 750 horsepower. Also under the hood is the data plate confirming car production #001. To make room for the new supercharger, a hand-built carbon-fiber hood insert was designed and manufactured by Hendrick Motorsports. For the exterior, a special appearance package features Hertz Yellow graphics with the HMS #24 logo, complemented by matching Hertz Yellow painted brake calipers. The stock wheels were replaced with custom-made Forgeline wheels engraved with the Hertz logo and #24 center caps. Continuing the theme, there are Hertz Yellow door inserts, lighted door sills with the Hertz logo, a dash plaque with team owner Rick Hendrick's signature stating this is car #1 of 24, embroidered headrests with William Byron's signature and the #24 logo, and custom #24 floor mats. This unique car is authenticated by the Chevrolet factory RPO code "PEH" (Hertz/Hendrick Motorsports Edition).
