Lot #378 - 1965 Ford Thunderbird custom-built for a new TV show that will air on the History channel. The vehicle is being built to auction with the consignor donating the proceeds for charity and the entire process is being filmed for the show. The car has been completely gone through and a partial restoration has been done. The full driveline has been gone through and any items either rebuilt or replaced. New brakes have been installed and all suspension components have been replaced, repaired and or updated. The engine is the stock 390ci V8, along with the original automatic transmission. All parts were supplied by Summit Racing. Custom Foose wheels have also been made for the car, and Michelin tires have been mounted and installed. The interior of the car has been completely redone in a custom black finish and restored with any items that needed to be replaced or repaired. Dynamat was installed throughout the car, along with a new modern stereo system from Custom AutoSound. The exterior paint was painted using custom-mixed House of Kolor paints. The car now has a two-tone custom paint job applied based off the rendering drawn on the show. The car was completely taken down to metal, and all metalwork was done to insure a perfect finish. All the work was done at Cali Collision Kings in Van Nuys, CA.The car is being built and auctioned, with the consignor donating the proceeds of the sale to benefit the Los Angeles Police Department - Devonshire Division PALS program. All of this is being built and filmed to be aired on the History channel on a new TV show called "Fully Torqued."
