Description
Lot #425 - This all-steel 1937 Ford Phaeton 4-door convertible is presented in deep Black Velvet paint and contrasted with a Parchment and Lavender leather interior. This custom is powered by a 350ci V8 engine backed by a TH350 automatic transmission. The engine bay is finished with ceramic-coated headers, braided hoses, a polished air cleaner, intake and valve covers with contrasting deep purple accents, along with a chrome-finished alternator and water pump. The black paint is highlighted with an orange and purple flame job, shaved door handles, polished Team III Cobra-style wheels, chrome bumpers and custom black cloth soft-top. It rides on an Air Ride Technologies suspension, with disc brakes, power rack & pinion steering, a triangulated 3-link rear and tubular front A-arm suspension, and a fully chromed exhaust system. The interior features one-off seating surfaces, wool lavender carpeting, a 3-spoke banjo steering wheel with tilt column and a custom audio system. This all-Ford-steel Phaeton has known but one owner since 1976, is finished top to bottom, and was built not just to show but to drive, as evidenced by the included custom vinyl front-end paint protection bra. Comes with a custom-made owner's manual, trophies, and 3-ring binder with receipts and ownership history.
