Lot #792 - This custom Pro-Touring 1972 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by a Clevenger racing 496ci big-block V8 engine mated to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a Precision Performance shifter and reverse manual valve body. The big-block is topped with a Pro Systems 950 CFM carburetor and features Brodix BB-2X cylinder heads, Jesel Valvetrain rockers and a COMP Xtreme Energy solid roller camshaft. The forged rotating assembly is comprised of SRP pistons, H-beam connecting rods and a 4.250 Eagle crankshaft. The V8 exhales through a set of ceramic-coated Hooker headers and is fed by an Aeromotive A2000 fuel pump. The powerful engine translates power to the road via a Mikes Transmission Ultimate Turbo 400 automatic with a 3000 TCI torque converter as well as a Strange Engineering Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.73 gears and posi-traction. Additionally, the transmission features a Precision Performance shifter with reverse manual valve body. All this power is handled by a Martz chassis narrowed 1 inch with tubular control arms and hand-built front and rear clips. For suspension, the Camaro has coilovers on all four corners and a Martz 4-link. The interior is completed by NDP replacement material and Procar bucket seats. The car has been completely rewired using Painless Wiring specifically designed for the second-generation Camaro and features AutoMeter gauges, push-button start and a Budnik custom steering wheel wrapped in leather. This custom show car features a Harwood 4-inch cowl fiberglass hood, Ringbrothers black anodized hood hinges, all new chrome and trim, mini-tub and 20-gallon fuel cell. It has been painted Camaro Silver with black stripes and rides on brand-new Budnik Gasser wheels that are 19x8 inches in front and 19x12 inches in the rear.
