Description
Lot #424 - With only 625 produced, the 1964 300K is Chrysler's personal luxury convertible with a 413ci Wedge that boasts the desirable and ultra-cool Cross-Ram option with dual 4-barrel carburetors. Its 413ci V8 engine has been fully rebuilt and backed by its 727 3-speed automatic transmission and has a 3.34 limited-slip rear axle. Also featured is factory air conditioning, a console with floor shifter, power steering with tilt column, power brakes, power windows, power bucket seats, a power soft-top, full instrumentation and courtesy lamps. The exterior features metallic Royal Ruby paint, a bright white vinyl soft-top, correct white pinstriping, chrome bumpers with overriders, dual fender-mounted rearview mirrors and factory tinted glass. The interior is finished in white leather upholstery, with a refurbished clear acrylic steering wheel, a console-mounted tachometer and a white boot cover. A top-to-bottom six-figure restoration was completed in 2020 by Fenders & Fins in Woodinville, WA, using only rebuilt and NOS parts. The engine was rebuilt as bored and stroked to 472ci with 9:1 compression ratio and was balanced and blueprinted. The transmission was rebuilt with an upgraded torque converter and clutches, and sends power to the original refurbished rear end. Additional upgrades include Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetors with electric choke operation, R134a refrigerant, a 4-wheel disc brake conversion with electric booster and steel lines, chrome wire wheels with whitewall radials, and its AM/FM radio was redone with solid state internals and updated USB connectivity. All wiring, suspension, exhaust and convertible top components were also refurbished or replaced, and the odometer reading represents 869 miles since completion. Original owner's manuals, authentic Chrysler sales literature, receipts and photos are included in the sale.
