Description
Lot #339 - This 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix race car was one of three built by General Motors. Two of the three cars were left 100-percent intact; the third car (this car) was converted into a GM show car and all-electric vehicle. After several years of touring the country, all three cars were retired to what is called the Chevrolet Vault. In 2009 all three cars were sold to different buyers and the collection was split up. In 2020, this Pontiac underwent a build, converting it back to racing form. In doing so, the car was built with power coming from a Ford high-performance 289ci V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, along with a new racing-approved fuel cell. All the tires and wheels are the original from the time of the build. All other chassis and drivetrain components are original to the cars build.
