Lot #720.1 - Beginning as a sound and highly original factory orange vehicle, this 1979 International Scout II Traveler was restored and upgraded in honor of the prior long-term owner, with further updates done by professionals in Gilbert, AZ. The body was refinished in House of Kolor Sunset Pearl Orange Metallic paint contrasted by a black Rhino-lined roof. True to its roots, the Scout retains the IH 345ci V8 engine, upgraded with Holley Sniper EFI and MagnaFlow exhaust. A rebuilt automatic transmission and a "Hi-Lo" transfer case drive front and rear Dana 44 axles with Poison Spyder differential covers. Chassis upgrades include a full 4-link suspension, front coilover shocks, a Currie rear sway bar, Firestone air-ride springs, custom steering linkage and power brakes. The Scout's fully restored interior features front buckets with custom upholstery with contrasting orange seat stitching and matching interior panels with black stitches. A custom console houses the shifter and range selector, plus switches and illuminated cupholders. KC Cyclone dome and interior lights are welcome additions. Additional entertainment is delivered by a JVC Bluetooth head unit and JL Audio speakers, subwoofer and amplifier. Exterior upgrades include front and rear bumpers by Logan's metal products, a WARN Zeon 10-S front winch, front and rear Monster tow hooks, billet side mirrors and a KC roof rack. Lighting the way is a pair of Vision X LED headlights with orange halo running lights, plus KC light bars and front-bumper pods, orange RIGID Industries A-Series rock lights and flush-mounted RIGID Industries backup lamps. The roughest terrain yields to the mercy of a full set of Sledge 17x9-inch wheels by Fuel mounting huge Nitto Trail Grappler tires measuring 35x12.5, plus a matching full-size spare wheel and tire combo.
