Description
Lot #365 - This 1914 Model T brass speedster has been restored and upgraded. It's finished in three-tone green with hand-painted tan pinstriping, nice body work, two-piece folding windshield, a painted luggage/storage compartment and painted wire-spoke wheels with new tires, including a spare. It's powered by an upgraded and rebuilt newer Model T 4-cylinder engine tied to a 2-speed manual transmission coupled to a 2-speed Ruckstell rear end. The engine utilizes an electric starter and an externally regulated generator and belt driven distributor, eliminating the troublesome wooden coils and timer, and delivering accurate hot spark for trouble free and reliable ignition. An electric fuel pump gives reliable pressure to the upgraded Model B intake and Zenith carburetor. The engine also features an early Ford script aluminum cylinder head and performance finned aluminum side tappet covers. The interior features two wrap-around bucket-style seats covered in off-white upholstery, wood steering wheel and firewall coated in gloss finish. Gauges consist of a Seth Thomas brass 8-day clock, brass amp meter and a Jones 50-mph speedometer.
