Description
Lot #1426 - Built by Kindig-It Design, this 1962 VW 23-window deluxe is the first bus built by Dave Kindig and the crew from "Bitchin' Rides." This ride features many custom touches, such as shaved front and rear bumpers with custom roll pans. All windows are chromed pop-outs, including the safari windshields. The body and paint were done to a high standard and the bus sits low yet drivable by use of a Bus Boys narrowed and adjustable front end and lowered Type I rear suspension. It's powered by an upgraded 2,180cc 4-cylinder engine built by Art Thream backed by a Super Street 4-speed manual transmission, and stopping power is provided by Porsche brakes. The interior is completely custom and features an L-shaped rear seat, an Automator 26-inch LED TV and big audio system, as well as an inverter to plug into 110-volt for display.
