Lot #1355 - This 1969 Yenko Chevelle comes factory-equipped with COPO 9562, a special performance package including the L72 427/425hp big-block engine, special Super Sport hood, grille and rear panel. It also came equipped with a dual exhaust system, increased cooling capacity and special suspension, and was specifically engineered for drag-race competition. This Chevelle also received COPO 9737 sports car conversion, which included a larger diameter 13/16-inch front stabilizer bar, rear sway bar and 15x7 Yenko Atlas Cast Rally wheels with F70 raised-white-letter tires. Don Yenko built only 99 1969 Chevelles; this fully documented example is one of only 22 still in existence. Only seven Fathom Green Yenko Chevelles were produced, and only 13 of the original 99 were equipped with automatic transmissions. Of those 13, this is the only one known to exist with a column shift, making this truly a one-of-one vehicle.
