Description
Lot #935 - This custom 1935 Ford half-ton pickup was acquired in 2006 and a full renovation was started with a goal to build a one-off old-school hot rod that stood out. The no-expense-spared 4-year project was done by a professional shop and the truck went into a large private collection upon completion. The chassis features a fully recondition original frame, 5-inch drop tube axle, '40 Ford spindles, '40 Lincoln brakes, Buick finned drums, Super Glide reverse eye spring, Speedway friction shocks, Flaming River cross-steer gear box, 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.50 ratio, ECI manual pedal assembly and a Super Glide rear spring kit. This custom pickup is powered by a GM Performance 350ci 8-cylinder small-block engine outfitted with Edelbrock dual-quad aluminum intake with two 500 cfm Endurashine carburetors, classic finned polished air cleaner and valve covers, Pertronix Flamethrower electronic distributor, Sanderson Limefire HPC headers with full 2.5-inch exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers, and a new aluminum Griffin radiator. Backing the engine is a fresh Muncie M-21 wide-ratio 4-speed manual transmission with a ZOOM high-performance clutch assembly. During the build, the cab and bed were channeled 6 inches and a handmade diamond-plate painted bed floor was installed. Additionally, a WW2 half-track fuel cell was installed, along with a reconditioned tilt windshield assembly, all-new glass, stock NOS grille assembly, stock Henry Ford hood tops, NOS BLC headlamps with signal lights, 1939 cab lights, NOS Ford fog assembly and NOS BLC glass taillights. The factory cowl vent was retained. The truck is finished in a single-stage paint job with patina rub through some areas and hand-painted old school logos, which can be removed if desired. The interior features Speedway aluminum bobber seats, early-style racing lap belts, complete new wiring panel and wiring, 1935 Ford deluxe banjo steering wheel with locked column, working NOS 1964 Stewart Warner tachometer and a 1936 Plymouth dash assembly with reconditioned gauge assembly. This custom truck is a well-done, never used or abused hot rod. **SOLD ON BONDED TITLE** **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
