Lot #988 - This restored 1968 GMC short-bed truck is finished in Liquid Blue Metallic base coat/clear coat and sits on 20-inch American Racing Salt Flat wheels and fresh Firestone rubber. A custom removeable Show Deck black ash wood bed floats above the factory steel bed, and the custom houndstooth interior sports full door panels with a painted dash to match the exterior. The interior features new Classic Industries electronic gauges in a classic look, restored factory tilt steering wheel, Bluetooth stereo, and Restomod Air on a custom panel with Restomod Air billet Salt Flat vents painted and matched to the Salt Flat American Racing wheels. This custom pickup is powered by a rebuilt and improved 6.0-liter 8-cylinder LS engine with Texas Speed camshaft, LS7 lifters, headers, new injectors and pushrods, double valve springs, Holley classic front drive and fuel rails, along with a Delmo speed adapter plate fitting up to a classic air cleaner, keeping that small-block look with modern LS power and reliability underneath. The engine is cooled by an aluminum radiator with custom cover and is backed up by an electronic GM 4L65E automatic transmission and freshly rebuilt rear end with 3.43 gear ratio and posi-traction. This pickup features new dual exhaust with 40 Series Flowmaster mufflers with turn-down behind the axle. It sits on a full RideTech suspension with front and rear coilovers, front tubular upper and lower A-arms, front sway bar and CPP 4-wheel disc brakes with Hydroboost hydraulic stopping power.
