Lot #811 - This 1971 GMC Jimmy is a no-expense-spared, frame off restoration finished in Royal Red base coat/clear coat paint. It is fitted with a 6.0-liter LQ4 LS engine with a cam upgrade backed by a built 4L60E automatic transmission controlled by an engine ECM. It features a Rebuilt NP205 transfer case, rebuilt front Dana 44 and GM 12-bolt read end differentials upgraded to 4.11 gears, 4-inch Rough Country lift with new shocks, bushings and steering components, and 4-wheel disc brakes. Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow mufflers exiting via dual exhausts provide a deep rumbling exhaust tone. Dick Cepek Extreme Country LT305/70R16 tires show off the aggressive stance. The Jimmy has an upgraded 31-gallon fuel tank, and the fuel filler was moved off the side of the bed to be hidden behind the rear driver's-side marker light via a flip out hinge. The new interior features two-tone leather seats and door cards, new CPP upgraded steering column, Altman Easy Latch premium door latches, upgraded front bucket seats, power front driver seat, Classic Instruments premium instrument cluster, Vintage Air, and an Alpine iLX-W650 7-inch stereo with Alpine KTA-450 amplifier, backup camera and four Alpine S-S65 speakers. The Jimmy also features a new Painless wiring harness and LED marker and turn signals. The fiberglass topper has been completely refurbished and then finished with new texture and paint. The rear hatch lift mechanism was upgraded to gas shocks. This vehicle was purchased in Arizona and then underwent a two-year restoration, which was completed the summer of 2020.
