Description
Lot #695.1 - This Marina Blue 1949 GMC custom pickup received a complete, professional, nut-and-bolt restoration and custom build that was just finished, with test miles only. It's powered by a new Chevrolet LS3 6.2-liter 8-cylinder engine that produces 430hp. The modern LS3 power plant has been customized to look like a classic GM small block. The engine is coupled to a 4L70E automatic overdrive 4-speed automatic transmission linked to a Currie 9-inch posi-traction rear end with 3.70 gears. Stopping power comes courtesy of 4-wheel power Wilwood disc brakes clamping on drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. This '49 pickup sits on an S10 chassis with all-new suspension. It's equipped with power steering as well. The frame was stripped to bare metal and painted Gloss Black. The interior features a new white leather custom-contoured seat, chrome Ididit steering column, Lokar shifter and hand brake, and Vintage Air. All this is highlighted by a custom-fitted 1960 Impala dashboard housing AutoMeter gauges. This custom pickup rides on new Cragar Street Pro wheels wrapped with new tires.
