Description
Lot #482 - This 1972 Chevy C10 pickup has been restored from the frame up. The truck came out of the Freemont, CA, plant in late 1971. It was delivered to Woody Chevrolet in Hawthorne, NV, and was one of four trucks purchased by the Mineral County School District to be used by the maintenance crew. All of the original documentation is with the truck, including the original owner's manual, Warranty Policy, copy of the original title and two SPID sheets. There was no rust or major body damage on the truck before the restoration, just small dings and dents. All of the factory sheet metal was used in the restoration. The engine is a 383ci 8-cylinder small-block Chevy that was built new at the time of the restoration. The engine features a Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Dougs long-tube headers and Flowmaster exhaust. The automatic transmission is a 700R4 overdrive unit. The fuel tank has been relocated under the bed. The truck has a great stance with 3-inch drop spindles and 2-inch lowering springs up front, and the rear has a 5-inch lowering spring. The truck rolls on 20-inch Billet Specialties Speedway wheels. The interior has a mix of custom and original to give it a one-of-a-kind feel. A custom-built seat was built from the ground up and the gauge cluster was replaced at the time of restoration and shows the miles since it was built. The truck is sound with all-new seals and drives well.
