Description
Lot #700 - This 1971 Plymouth Road Runner with an Air Grabber hood is documented by its original Broadcast Sheet. This one-of-one big, bad orange Mopar is powered by a 440ci Six-Barrel engine mated to a 4-speed manual 18-spline HEMI transmission with Hurst pistol-grip shifter. It underwent a fully documented rotisserie restoration in 2007. Awarded the World's Best Mopar, it has only been shown and stored since. This Road Runner is equipped with a Trak-Loc Dana 60 rear end with 3.54 gears and Sure-Grip differential, dual exhaust, heavy-duty suspension sway bar, N96 Air Grabber fresh air hood and clutch fan maximum cooling package. Riding on factory 15x7 Rally wheels with correct G60/15 Goodyear Polyglas tires, it sports dual painted mirrors, front and rear spoilers, and wears its factory shade of Tor Red (EV2) exterior and matching factory interior. It has a factory interior hood release, defogger, clock, AM radio and a deluxe Road Runner decor package. Matching numbers were verified by the original VIN plate, however the secondary VIN was obstructed during restoration. From the Greg Gutek Collection.
