Lot #395 - This 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone is powered by a 289ci 8-cylinder engine paired to a C4 Green Dot automatic transmission. During its restoration all four shocks, front wheel cylinders, upper and lower control arms, ball joints, idler arm, tie rod, tie rod ends and sleeves, rear axles and bearings, and gas tank were replaced. The power brake booster, brake master cylinder, front wheel cylinders, brake shoes, all brake hardware, front wheel bearings, inner and outer power steering cylinder, wheels and tires were replaced as well. The interior retains some original components, including the original seats, headliner, glass and rear side panels. The carpet, dash pad, steering wheel, front door panels, door handles, door locks, ignition switch, driver's side remote-controlled mirror, passenger mirror, rearview mirror, gear shift lever, turn signal lever, turn signal switch, gear shift indicator, scuff plates, glove box liner, radio antenna and speedometer cable were all replaced during restoration. The transmission oil pressure, temperature, fuel, ammeter and speedometer gauges were rebuilt, as were the rear wheel cylinders, and the original AM radio was converted to AM/FM. Currently, the heater and windshield washer are not working.
