Description
This time-capsule Camaro Z/28 was ordered at J. E. Engles Chevrolet in Mineral Point, WI, on February 2, 1973. It was subsequently delivered new to the original owner on April 7, 1973, at a cost of $4,690.93. The documentation from that day forward is complete, including the Window Sticker, financing documents, original GM tags and notices, and the original vehicle inspection sheet from the dealer before the car was delivered. Included are both sets of original keys and the key punch tag. The car includes most of the original factory paint. The interior is like new, yet remains original to the car. The original spare was preserved in newspaper and still retains the original blue-raised-letter protective coating. All the jack parts and tools are also included. The only items not original to the car are the reproduction Firestone 60 series tires (other than the spare), the battery, belts, hoses and spark plug wires. The belts, upper and lower radiator hoses, and factory GM plug wires were retained by the original owner and are included with the sale. The original engine was carefully rebuilt in July 2015 with special attention to preserve every part possible. Neither the engine nor the engine bay was repainted to preserve the authenticity and original condition of the car. The engine currently produces just under 300hp and is documented by a dyno report.
