Description
Lot #51 - Former museum-kept Model A roadster with an older frame-off restoration to original specifications. This 1929 Ford Model A rumble seat roadster is powered by a rebuilt 201cid 4-cylinder engine with mechanical timing, mated to a factory 3-speed sliding gear manual transmission. The all-steel Ford body and fenders are finished in Henry Ford Black with red pinstriping. The interior consists of brown leather, while a black cloth soft-top keeps the weather out when needed. This 1929 Model A has all the features that made this model the jaunty, sporting choice of Jazz Age drivers; whitewall tires on upgraded, red Ford wire wheels, Ford script MotoMeter with wings, stainless-steel radiator stone guard, electric Sparton horn, rearview mirror, windshield wiper, rumble seat and dual-mounted spares. A functionally correct restoration, its cosmetics and mechanical condition are a credit to the history and significance of the Ford Model A.
