Description
Lot #1466 - Designed and sold exclusively for American armed forces personnel and special police operators, this 2011 Lenco Bearcat G3 is the only one to fall into the hands of a private citizen. Powered by a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, this tactical armored vehicle is based on a Ford F-550 short-bed chassis and was constructed at the Lenco headquarters in Massachusetts. The Bearcat is licensable and insurable in the United States and can be serviced, including parts and upgrades, by Lenco. The chassis can be serviced by local Ford dealers as well. Designed for military use, the Bearcat has a suite of offensive and defensive capabilities, including an air-quality monitoring system bulletproof armor, glass and 42-inch run-flat tires, all designed to withstand .50-caliber rounds. A 20-foot hydraulic battering ram, thermal imaging camera, tear gas deployment (tear gas not included), perforated penetrator, nine gun ports (three on each side, two in the rear and one on the turret), as well as a .50-BMG gas repeater and 360-degree rotating turret with bulletproof lid. Additionally, the air-lift capable Bearcat has rotating 360-degree spotlights, interior security deadbolts, internal prisoner lock rails and 30-amp inverter with external and internal power. The Lenco also has the full police package with siren, Safe Speak exterior communications and dual air conditioning and heater. The tactical vehicle has a 19,500 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and a 70 mph cruising speed. With 18,579 actual miles (mileage not indicated on the title).
