Lot #864.1 - This rust-free 1975 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Resto-Mod is powered by a factory fuel-injected L92 6.2-liter V8 engine with 1.75-inch powder-coated mid-length headers and new custom exhaust. The engine is paired with a 6-speed computer-controlled GM automatic transmission from a 2014 Camaro. The transmission is linked to a 10-bolt posi-traction rear end with 331 gears. A custom-made aluminum radiator with SPAL cooling fans are set up for a hot climate. It features four new gas-filled shocks, new master cylinder, new hoses, new condenser, new rubber body gaskets and seals. The new upholstery is in original factory-style and includes a new headliner, new door panels and new carpets. The interior also features dealer installed air conditioning from the period but with new rotary compressor, new dash, custom Firebird floor mats, new trunk upholstery and correct original analog-calibrated gauges. The fresh paint is in original color with a base coat/clear coat. The cut and buffed fiberglass bumpers replaced the aging urethane. It also includes new hood hinges and hood pad, and replacement drip rails in polished stainless steel that replace the original plastic ones. This Firebird rides on original honeycomb wheels, which are in great condition, with Cooper tires. It is a superb restoration. This Firebird includes its factory inspection ticket.
