Description
Lot #1291 - This rotisserie restored 1948 Ford F-1 custom pickup is finished in bright red paint on arrow-straight bodywork. The chrome grille, bumpers and accents add even more curb appeal. An oak and polished stainless bed are out back, while the cream paint in the grille recess, tailgate logo and pinstripes expertly tie the exterior to the interior. Inside you'll find the factory seat covered in soft cream and red with a matching cream headliner. Both colors complement each other on the dash and steering wheel as well. Also present are Dolphin gauges and an Auto Gauge tach, turn signals, Ford factory heater, floor mats with embroidered logos and the big shifter stick with a whimsical drag racer shift knob up top. Additional pinstripes on the dash finish off this restrained cabin. Under the hood is a real treat - a Flathead 221ci V8 engine with a blower. The 24-bolt plant features a polished Weiand 142 supercharger and kit from Roadrunner Engineering, Hunt magneto, Holley double-pumper carburetor, Edelbrock cylinder heads, Red's ceramic-coated long tube headers and more. Backing the engine is a 5-speed manual transmission with custom ceramic-coated exhaust. The bottom of the truck is painted with the same level of care as the top. Chassis components, like the frame, are powder-coated a durable and clean black. New steering and suspension parts join and a front disc brake system for safety. With only 1,800 miles since its restoration, this pickup rides on wide whitewalls, mounted on steelies with trim rings and center caps.
