Description
Lot #831 - This original Chevelle is a true survivor and is powered by a 454ci V8 engine and 3-speed automatic transmission. Every number is matching, with the exception of the transmission, right down to the water pump, and has 8,909 original miles and a Box A Arizona title. This Chevelle was purchased brand new on June 23, 1971 in Minnesota by the original owner after returning from Vietnam. It has been garaged kept for most of its life. This vehicle includes the original owner’s manual, original Window Sticker, original Protect-O-Plate with the original new vehicle warranty document, and the original owner title documentation. This car has never been re-painted. You may see the shadow of “Iron Butterfly” on the rear quarters when the original owner raced the Chevelle in the Super Stock division at Lion Speedway in Minnesota for a short period of time in 1971. After giving up racing the letters were removed, buffed off and the Chevelle was placed in storage where it sat for more than 40 years. After removing the car from storage all the engine parts, engine, carburetor, distributor, water pump, transmission, have all been re-gasketed and serviced. The car runs and drives like new. The wheels and tires are also original.
