Description
Lot #761.1 - This 1970 Chevy Camaro Z/28 RS received a complete frame-off restoration with each metal piece sandblasted or replaced as needed. It’s finished in original correct Autumn Gold with white stripes over a Saddle interior. It features its original matching-numbers Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and 12-bolt rear end. The car is correctly finished throughout and has a beautifully detailed red oxide primer undercarriage. This is a Norwood built car, so the cowl tag is stamped Z28 and has all factory body panels. The LT1 350/360hp V8 engine pairs correctly with the Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and the drivetrain was completely rebuilt. It’s equipped with the original factory intake manifold and correct Holley dual-feed carburetor rebuilt to factory specification. The transmission is the original 4-speed, and the rear end is the correct 4:10 12-bolt posi-traction unit. This car has power brakes, correct 11-inch front disc brakes and the rear are standard 9.5-inch drum brakes. Power steering, which was standard in 1970, has the common 16:1 ratio. It rides on the correct 15x7" steel wheels that have been painted bright gray finish instead of the more common dull gray. The wheels are wrapped in new factory Goodyear Polyglas tires, which were factory-original for the Z/28 in 1970.
