Description
Lot #1358 - Powered by a silky smooth 445ci V12 engine mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. It adopted new styling this year, with larger fenders and a more steeply angled radiator giving it a more elegant and streamlined appearance. It was restored in the early 1970s in its present elegant hues of two-tone red and deep maroon, with a fresh maroon leather upholstery and a maroon convertible top. The Twelve continues to maintain a charming and highly attractive appearance, indicative of the quality of the original restoration; the engine compartment and chassis are well-detailed, with full mechanical sorting ensuring that the car runs and drives superbly. Additionally, the car is equipped with many desirable options and accessories, including Trippe driving lights, dual side-mounted spares with metal covers and correct Packard See-Rite mirrors, a radio, Packard hot water heater and a trunk rack. The latter supplementing the built-in luggage compartment and making this Packard ideal for long-distance touring. A wonderful Twelve for touring activities, with superb history among interesting individuals and full sorting.
