Lot #947 - This custom-built street rod was designed, fabricated and built by Sam Foose. Unique with its subtle touches, this beautiful street rod drives as well as it looks. Painted with a custom PPG color mix that complements the great lines of the car. Power comes from a performance small-block Chevrolet V8 mated to an automatic transmission with air conditioning to keep the occupants cool. Custom features include a 2-inch chop, hand-made drip rails, removed moldings, removed wind wings, filled trunk, filled upper grille bar, filled tops of two-piece fenders, drenched headlights, custom taillights fading into fender lines, bumper bolts filled and rear bumper for license plate frame. The doors have also been shaved with hidden popper actuators.
