Description
Lot #1325 - This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is from a three-year build by Denny's Bowtie Restorations of a rust-free California Yellow Plate car. This vehicle was originally built at the Fremont, CA, plant. It has remained on the West Coast, and the build represents over 3,000 man-hours. It is powered by a modified 2013 ZL1 LS3 6.2-liter V8 engine upgraded with porting balancing, GM Performance cam and ARP bolts used in every position. An LSA supercharger with Lingenfelter upgrades helps it produce 11.5 pounds of boost and upwards of 650hp. To handle the horsepower and torque, the 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission was built by Hughes Performance with a Lokar sport shifter, which can be shifted as a 4-speed automatic or as a manual with a rev limiter. The drivetrain features an Inland Empire 3-1/2-inch aluminum 1410 Series driveshaft and a Moser 9-inch rear end with Truetrac. This vehicle rides on a RideTech front and rear suspension that features AirPod on all four corners with a RidePRO-X leveling device, 5-gallon reservoir and dual compressors. Wilwood brakes (13-inch front and 12-inch rear) help this Bel Air slow down. It features 4-piston calipers, an internal e-brake and a large-bore master cylinder for braking control. The body was rust-free, and it features the original sheet metal. Filler was used for leveling, as the body was metal-finished. The exterior is finished in House of Kolor Kandy Brandywine with an Orion Silver base and a House of Kolor Show Clear. It also features Kindig-It Design exterior door handles. Parchment Corinthian leather was applied to the Glide Engineering front bucket and custom rear seats. To maximize interior comfort, German tight-weave carpet was installed, and Dynamat Xtreme sound-dampening material was fitted to all interior surfaces. A custom hidden sound system with an Infinity Bluetooth controller was installed, and the dashboard features Dakota Digital HDX gauges. It also features power windows and custom gray-shaded glass. The car rides on Ridler wheels with a custom offset (18x9” in front and 20x13” in the rear) with no tubs or alterations to the fender lips.
