Lot #162 - A ground-up restoration was completed in May 2019 on this1962 VW Beetle. It’s powered by a 1200cc 1.2-liter air-cooled 4-cylinder engine. The engine is mated to a 4-speed-manual transmission and features a 12-volt electrical system. Original color from its year. It was stripped to bare metal and fully sandblasted prior to paint application. All new upholstery, screws and electric were installed, including new seals. It has approximately 90 kilometers (55 miles) since restoration. This original vehicle has several upgrades, including manual sunroof, side stirrups in the color of the sunroof, white bands on tires, chrome wheel cap, chromed trays on center dashboard, worked metal door sills on airboxes, 12-volt outlet, anti-flame and anti-noise protection in the motor mount, reverse light and electronic ignition. It comes with original certification, hundreds of pictures of restoration processes, guide with all technical details about its restoration and maintenance, and a certified translation of all documents.
