Lot #786 - This one-off 1941 Plymouth Special Deluxe was built with a Mopar theme in mind and is a SEMA award-winning custom. The full roller engine was bored and stroked from 440ci to 500ci and is outfitted with twin T3 turbos on Jet-Hot-coated Spearco exhaust manifolds blowing through QFT 650 carburetors and an Offenhauser Cross-Ram intake. Itβs additionally equipped with a March serpentine belt system, custom radiator and fan system, and custom exhaust that exits out the front fenders. Power is sent through a manual-valve-bodied 727 automatic transmission to the Ford 9β rear end. This custom Plymouth features a custom-made frame, and sits on a Chassisworks front suspension with QA1 coilover adjustable shocks and a Competition Engineering ladder bar rear suspension, and has been tubbed to accommodate the oversized tires. A set of 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes with master cylinder provide stopping power to the KMC wheels wrapped in Nitto tires. The all-metal body modifications include Lincoln Zephyr grilles, 1937-39 Ford headlights, beaked hood, shaved handles, power windows and door poppers, smoothed body lines, California chopped top, frenched-in β59 Cadillac taillights and a reshaped rear decklid. Additionally, the front clip was lowered 2β and all glass has been moved out for a smooth transition to the body. After modification, the body was finished in Viper Black and Viper Red PPG paint with custom flames along the sides. The custom red interior boasts a custom dash with eyebrow gauges.
